Bachelor of Information Technology with Software Engineering [Honours]
Program Synopsis
This program is designed to fulfill the world-wide need for information technology (IT) professionals with software engineering skills to design and develop a complex and efficient software.
The objectives of the program are:
- To produce workforce that has the skills in IT and Software Engineering
- To produce graduates who have the understanding on the programming techniques, principles and practice in Software Engineering
- To produce graduates that have the knowledge and skills in Software Engineering and professional issues to start their career as a software engineer
- To produce graduates that can demonstrate understanding and capability in applying theory and model which are the fundamentals in identifying and analyzing a problem, designing systems, construction, implementation, verification and documentation.
Candidates are required to accumulate 104 credit hours of prescribed courses in order to graduate.
Note
Students are required to register elective subjects only after completing all the core subjects to be taken in the first and second year and also have taken the appropriate prerequisite subjects unless with the special permission from the faculty.
The faculty has the right to offer any courses in a semester
The faculty has the right to amend the prerequisite subjects anytime without prior notice.

Senior Secondary/High School Certificate Examination (SS/HSCE) or West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE) or equivalent
With an aggregate score of 24 or better in six subjects including passes in: Three Core Subjects (including Core English, and Core Mathematics) plus Three Electives. For Engineering or Computer Science Programs, the Three electives should include Elective Mathematics and Elective Science (Physics, plus Chemistry or Biology).
