All students at AIT gets free unlimited access to their lecture notes; lecture videos and audios for all courses they are registered on at AIT. These resources are provided via Lemass – our Learning Management System. Registered students also use LEMASS to:

(i) Access past examination papers on all courses.

(ii) Access and upload their course assignments.

(iii) Access their course assignment grades and their mid-semester and end-of-semester examination grades.

(iv) Interact with their lecturers and classmates through forums and messaging systems.

(v) Access our extensive e-library resources.

Students at AIT are not obliged to take notes in class since they have access to all their lecture notes and hand-outs at the beginning of the semester. No student at AIT purchases a single textbook during their entire studies at AIT; they have free access to all the e-books and other learning resources they need for the entire academic program.

AIT and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA ranked in the top ten of the World Rankings of Universities entered into an institutional cooperation to enable AIT have access to top-class teaching and learning materials of all the courses being taught at MIT via the Open Courseware initiative of the university.

Through this agreement, AIT’s faculty and students have direct and free access to teaching and learning materials on over 2,000 courses spanning MIT’s entire curriculum via AIT’s university campus network.

These materials and learning resources on all MIT’s programs include: syllabuses, reading materials, lecture notes, students handouts, courseware, lessons, learning videos and lectures, exams, e-books, e-journals, e-lab resources and other teaching and learning materials of all MIT’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.

This special agreement with MIT is in line with AIT’s determination to offer its students high quality education and professional training offered by top universities anywhere in the world. AIT is pioneering the multiple degree concept to offer opportunities to those studying for Bachelor’s degree at other tertiary institutions anywhere in the world to concurrently enroll on one of AIT’s open university accredited Bachelor’s degree programs. The multiple degree concept is only possible where there is an open university option that makes it possible for university students to optimize their time by pursuing a degree program in a traditional campus-based university and at the same time concurrently register and study for another degree program at an open university.
